On this episode of Fake Doctors, Real Friends, Zach Braff is recommending Bo Burnham’s Netflix special Inside, Donald Faison has broken his plant-based diet to enjoy a steak at the “Salt Bae” restaurant Nusr-Et (but Salt Bae wasn’t there, so “you had Salt Bae’s f**kin’ understudy, that’s so embarrassing” Zach jokes), and Zach wants to go to Donald’s son Rocko’s soccer game sometime (provided there’s a halftime show; “Oh yeah, I put on a bikini and juggle teacups,” Donald assures him). And of course they’ve rewatched a Scrubs episode, “My Faith In Humanity,” which has lots of great jokes they have to go over, and “the Janitor is just insane.” Then Salvador, a teacher from Mexico, calls in to ask about a Scrubs reunion and get some dating advice.
Turk and J.D. scheme to get Drs. Hooch and Turner on the same surgical procedure “just so we can stand back to back and say, ‘Turner and Hooch,” which gets Zach started on a tangent about how he’s never really been into movies about a guy with a dog. “I just never tuned into any of them. Name a movie about a guy and a dog, I haven’t seen it,” he says. Donald also isn’t a huge fan of the genre, and neither of them have anything nice to say about all the CGI animals in movies lately. Zach wonders what exactly “Mustache Sunday” is: “We draw mustaches on each other?” he asks. “Yeah, yeah. And we think really hard all week about what type of ‘stache the other person should have for Mustache Sunday,” Donald expounds. “And we probably go to restaurants and order fancy drinks and s**t like that.” And Dr. Cox gives Elliott advice to play it cool with a cute guy and he’ll be more interested in her, “and it works instantly!” Zach laughs. “She ignores him for like two seconds and he’s like, ‘She’s cute.’”
Salvador calls in from Mexico, telling them he’s a teacher and wants to emulate Dr. Cox and J.D. with his students, though perhaps without so much yelling. He asks if they’ll ever do a Scrubs reunion, after the Friends reunion was so popular. Donald says it would be hard without being able to visit the Sacred Heart Hospital again, which no longer exists; Zach says the problem is that Bill Lawrence would have to put it all together and he’s too busy. However, Zach teases that he is working on a top-secret project with Bill and Donald, as well as another Fake Doctors live show, for which they might try to get John C. McGinley or Sarah Chalke to join them! It might not be the Scrubs reunion, but it’s close enough for Salvador. Then Dr. Cox comes to Salvador’s rescue yet again when he asks the guys for dating advice. Hear the entire hilarious conversation on this episode of Fake Doctors, Real Friends.
