On The Verge Artist: M.O.T.H.E.R. Turns Grief Into Art On 'MY LOVE'

iHeartRadio's latest "On The Verge" artist, M.O.T.H.E.R., is turning grief into something powerful through music.

Led by British musician Robbie Furze of The Big Pink and Panic DHH, M.O.T.H.E.R. has arrived with its debut EP featuring the emotional standout track, "MY LOVE."

The song was inspired by Furze experiencing two life-changing moments at once: losing his mother while welcoming his daughter into the world.

"'MY LOVE' reads like a love story," Furze explained. "But it came from losing my mother and having my daughter at the same time, just trying to hold onto hope, because love is everything and all around."

He added, "'MY LOVE' faces the cracks head-on yet celebrates what endures. Even as things fall, some love stands unbroken, and it's worth rejoicing."

Alongside the release of the song, M.O.T.H.E.R. also dropped the official music video for "MY LOVE."

The four-track EP brings together Furze and a rotating group of longtime collaborators, including contributions from Jamie Hince of The Kills and Jamie T. Furze explained that the project will continue to evolve with future releases taking on "a completely different color and approach."

"M.O.T.H.E.R. is a project that responds and adapts to what's happening in the moment," says Furze. "This EP came from losing my mother, and everything around it grew out of that, a band of brothers coming together."
