Mike Jones found his way to the microphone through college radio, and he’s been on the air since 2003. Along the way he’s worked middays, nights, and morning show duty, and today he’s the guy keeping you company in the afternoons with rock, alternative, and a steady supply of wisecracks. For Mike, the best part of the job is simple: hanging out with listeners, whether they’re in the car or at home, and making every minute a good time. His proudest moments come each year at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Out of the Darkness Walk, where he joins the crowds working to stop suicide.

Off the air, the Maryland native is into cars, bowling, video games, tech, and tattoos. He shares his home with Mrs. Jones and two cats, Pat the Cat and Lionel Kitty, and he supports the Red Cross and the Arthritis Foundation. His playlist leans on Foo Fighters, Oasis, Weezer, Rush, and Weird Al, and “Everlong” is the one song he never skips. Fair warning: challenge him to Mario Kart and you will lose. His ultimate comfort meal is Stouffer’s lasagna, which he calls “addictive and divine.”
